Several studies report that digital media is beneficial for life, including marketing as well as tourism marketing. Another interesting aspect of digital media is its speed, practicality, flexibility, breadth, and efficiency, which can also preserve objects. Unfortunately, there is limited literature available to understand this phenomenon. On the other hand, the issue of visuals and tourism is also an issue that has received less attention. This article is a critical review of articles, research, and reports related to digital media in preserving and marketing visual landscapes, which are seen as one of the tourist attractions, namely landscape tourism. This article contributes to enriching the literature and developing insight into the potential of digital media, landscape preservation, and visual landscape tourism, which so far have not been widely discussed, especially regarding their interrelationships.
2026-08-04T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Ray March Syahadat, Muhammad Baiquni, Chafid Fandeli, Dyah Widiyastuti https://peta.upnjatim.ac.id/index.php/peta/article/view/267 Strategi 4P (Product, Prince, Place, Promotion) Dalam Meningkatkan Kunjungan Wisata Di Waduk Gajah Mungkur Wonogiri 2026-03-04T04:41:13+00:00 Dosma Saragi dosmasaragi1065@gmail.com
Waduk Gajah Mungkur Wonogiri is one of the leading tourist destinations with great potential to be further developed as a rigional tourism center. Although it offers natural beauty and various recreational facilities, the number of tourist visits is still unstable due to the implementation of suboptimal marketing strategies. This study was conducted to analyze the effectiveness of implementing the 4P of marketing mix (product, price, place, promotion) in increasing tourist visits. This research aims to map the current conditons of each elemnt of the 4P at WGM and formulate strategic recommendations in line with tourist preferences and bahavior.

The Findings show that the Product element is represented by the availability of beautiful scenery, playgrounds, mini zoos, and water attractions, although additional thematic attractions and enhanced visitor experiences are still inadequate. In terms of Price, admission fees are considered affordable but have not been structured based on market segmentation or more diverse visit packages. The Place element shows that accessibility to the location is relatively adequate, but challenges remain in terms of facility availability and transportation connectivity. Meanwhile, Promotion is identified as the weakest component, as the use of digital media, destination narratives, and cross-sector collaboration have not been fully optimized.

The discussion highlights that increasing tourist visits requires the integration of all four components of the 4P strategy. Enhancing visitor experiences, adopting more targeted pricing, improving facilities, and implementing consistent digital promotional strategies are key factors in strengthening the destination's competitiveness. Overall, optimizing the 4P marketing mix in a comprehensive manner and based on tourist needs is considered to have significant potential in increasing tourist arrivals at Waduk Gajah Mungkur Wonogiri.
2026-08-18T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Dosma Saragi https://peta.upnjatim.ac.id/index.php/peta/article/view/297 REPRESENTASI BUDAYA DALAM VIDEO DOKUMENTER SEBAGAI STRATEGI BRANDING DESTINASI: STUDI KASUS DESA ABAFALA, TIMOR LESTE 2026-07-09T05:18:53+00:00 Zainal Abidin Achmad z.abidinachmad@upnjatim.ac.id Egidia Putri Teresia Sembiring Maha 22043010231@student.upnjatim.ac.id Michelle Librianora Simangasing 21044010195@student.upnjatim.ac.id Mahendra Rizky Putra Pratama 22042010154@student.upnjatim.ac.id Dedin Finatsiyatull Rosida z.abidinachmad@upnjatim.ac.id Crystia Aji Putra z.abidinachmad@upnjatim.ac.id
This study aims to analyze how cultural representation in documentary videos plays a role in the destination branding strategy of Abafala Village, Timor-Leste. The study employed a qualitative method with a case study approach, focusing on the analysis of the documentary's visual narrative as the primary object. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with community leaders, observations of cultural practices, and analysis of the documentary's audiovisual content. The analysis was conducted thematically to identify elements of cultural representation and the construction of the destination image. The results show that the documentary serves as a representational medium that constructs destination identity through visualizations of landscapes, traditional architecture, and community cultural practices. This representation not only reflects social reality but also constructs symbolic meanings that strengthen the village's authentic image. Furthermore, distribution through social media broadens the reach of representation and encourages audience engagement as part of the destination image formation process. This study confirms that documentary videos function not merely as promotional media but as a communication mechanism that integrates narratives, symbols, and experiences in shaping cultural identity-based destination branding.
2026-07-10T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Zainal Abidin Achmad, Egidia Putri Teresia Sembiring Maha, Michelle Librianora Simangasing, Mahendra Rizky Putra Pratama
